Terms and Conditions of Membership

1. Payment Terms and Subscriptions
All non-PAYG (Pay-As-You-Go) classes are payable monthly in advance on the 1st of each calendar month. Payments must be made via our automated subscription system. Please note that we do not accept cash or card payments at reception for standard monthly tuition fees. Annual fees are calculated based on a full calendar year and distributed into equal monthly installments. Consequently, there are no payment breaks or pro-rata reductions for holiday periods or scheduled gym closures

2. Cancellation and Notice Period
Members wishing to terminate their subscription must provide one full calendar month’s written notice via email to darwingymnastics@gmail.com, prior to the 1st of the month. Failure to provide timely notice will result in the following month being charged in full. Your final invoice will include the notice period fee and any remaining balance of your Annual Club Membership.

3. Payment Failure and Arrears
In the event of a failed subscription payment on the 1st of the month, the full monthly fee must be settled via cash or card at reception before the student may participate in any class. This payment will be credited to the account; should the automated system successfully process the payment on a subsequent attempt, the manual payment will be refunded.

4. Attendance and Catch-up Sessions
Fees are paid to secure a placement in a specific class. Consequently, no catch-up sessions, credits, or refunds are available for sessions missed due to personal reasons, illness, or holidays.

5. Trial Sessions and Enrollment
Prospective members are entitled to one taster session for subscription-based classes, subject to availability. By establishing a monthly subscription, you are entering into a legally binding agreement to adhere to these Terms and Conditions.

6. Mandatory Insurance and Affiliation
For safety and regulatory compliance, all gymnasts must obtain https://www.british-gymnastics.org/memberships within three weeks of their initial start date. This insurance is an annual requirement and must remain valid to participate in sessions.

7. Annual Club Membership Fee
The Annual Club Membership fee of £36.00 is billed in monthly installments of £3.00, which is automatically added to your subscription. This fee is non-refundable and is subject to an annual review and potential adjustment.

8. Multi-Class and Sibling Discounts
A 10% discount is applicable to siblings or students enrolled in multiple one-hour subscription classes (valid for weekday evening and Saturday sessions only).

9. Force Majeure and Facility Closures
Darwin Gymnastics is not liable for sessions cancelled due to “Acts of God” or events outside of our reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, floods, road closures, or council-mandated closures). Such sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Internal Cancellations: If a session is cancelled due to circumstances within our control, we will provide a scheduled catch-up session. We are under no obligation to provide a refund if the offered catch-up date is unsuitable for the member. Refunds will only be issued if a catch-up session cannot be organized.

Gymnastics Attire and Attendance
All gymnasts must bring a non-spill water bottle to every session. Upon completion of the first month of enrollment, students are required to wear appropriate gymnastics attire (e.g., a leotard for girls; shorts and a t-shirt for boys).
